About Safe Bathing Canada

Ontario's trusted accessible bathing experts

Our Mission

Empowering Ontarians to Bathe Safely

Our mission is simple: to empower every Ontarian to bathe safely, independently, and with dignity - in the comfort of their own home.

We believe that a bathroom should be a place of comfort and confidence, not anxiety or risk. That's why Safe Bathing Canada was founded - to close the gap between the need for accessible bathing and the lack of trusted, professional solutions available to Canadians.

Proudly Canadian-owned and operated since 2016, we are headquartered in Stoney Creek, Ontario, and serve communities from one end of the province to the other. Every product we install is backed by a lifetime warranty, and every installation is completed by our own trained technicians - never subcontracted.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

Everything we do is guided by three principles that put our clients at the centre of every decision.

Safety

We prioritize secure bathing through meticulous product design and professional installation that meets or exceeds all industry standards. A fall in the bathroom is one of the most preventable accidents - and we take that seriously.

Accessibility

Everyone deserves safe, comfortable bathing options - regardless of age or ability. We design and source products that accommodate a wide range of mobility needs, and we never compromise on ease of access.

Dignity

Bathing is an intimate and personal experience. Our products are designed to preserve independence and confidence - so our clients can bathe without asking for help and without feeling like a burden to their loved ones.

Our Story

Built to Fill a Real Gap

Safe Bathing Canada was founded in 2016 by Colin Gates in response to a clear and pressing need: thousands of Ontarians were struggling to bathe safely as they aged or faced mobility challenges, yet the market for accessible bathing solutions was dominated by fly-by-night operations, overseas call centres, and installers with little to no relevant training.

Colin set out to do it differently - with certified products, in-house installation teams, honest pricing, and a genuine commitment to client education. That means when you buy from us, our own trained technicians show up at your door and take care of everything: removing your old tub, installing the new unit, drywalling, sealing, cleaning up every last thing, and walking you through the finished bathroom before they leave. Most installations are complete in a single day. Today, with more than 500 completed installations across 40+ Ontario communities, we are proud to be the province's most trusted name in accessible bathing.

"Living at home can drastically improve physical, mental, and social health. People deserve to know that they have options when it comes to bathing and showering."

- Colin Gates, as featured on CHCH News

Safe Bathing Canada has been featured on CHCH News and is an active advocate for the Home Accessibility Tax Credit (HATC), helping clients access up to $3,000 in government support to offset the cost of their installation. We believe that safety should be affordable - and we work hard to make it so.

Why Safe Bathing Canada

What Sets Us Apart

We combine industry-leading products with professional craftsmanship and honest, client-focused service.

Full-Service Installation - One Day

Our in-house technicians handle everything: old tub removal, full installation, drywalling, sealing, and complete cleanup - all in a single visit. Zero subcontracting. Zero mess left behind. Most homeowners are bathing safely by the end of the same day.

Quality Products

Every tub and shower we carry is cETL certified, CSA-compliant, and built from premium acrylic on a stainless-steel frame - backed by our lifetime door warranty.

Canadian Service

We are 100% Canadian-owned and operated. When you call us, you speak to a local team member who understands Ontario homes, building codes, and your community.

Tax Credit Guidance

We actively help clients understand and apply for the Home Accessibility Tax Credit - potentially recovering up to $3,000 of their installation cost from the federal government.
